Hi. i have never really known my dads side of the family. I am closer to my mothers side then his. I am the last of my Wilkins family. both of my grand parents have passed, and now its just my sister, dad, uncle and his daughter, and my aunt. i would realy like to know more but im stuck do to a seemingly dead end history. if i dont have a boy the my family will be done. im sure both my sister and cousin will take there future husband"s name. so if anyone has something please send an email. i done some research but im not sure if it was right. i was told that there was a lord in either scottland or england that i might be related to. for the longest time i beleived that the name was just kin to will or william. i have found out that the name wilkins comes from william. but thats all ive been able to do.

Hi, Just a little message to welcome you to the UK Genealogy ring. I shall be working to get more members into the ring. Perhaps you could tell your friends about it too. Good luck with your family research. Sue

Hi. I am descended fron the Wilkins family of Bristol. My great great grandfather was Robert Wilkins who founded the building firm R Wilkins and Sons. As far as I can work out Robert Mooney is my second cousin twice removed!

Hi. My father James Wilkins is descended from the Wilkins family from Wiltshire/Somerset. Mose of his descendants were coal miners and worked at the Somerset coalfields. The line began to disperse in the 1800s when families moved to find work, some to Wales but most of my dad's line moved to Co durham and his grandfather Richard Wilkins was born in Burnley. I am trying to trace my Wilkins back even father than THOMAS WILKINS b @ 1773 in Melksham. Does anyone out there have any info at all on any of this branch of Wilkins
